15 years ago today, a very good high school friend of mine, Kate Porter, died in car crash on an icy road in Pennsylvania.
Kate loved the color orange and wore the hue so often that it became her signature color of sorts. To this very day, whenever I encounter a bright orange object, I am reminded of her.
RIP Kate- you are missed
